Saturday, April 29th, 4300-4400 blocks of Connecticut Avenue.
10 a.m.: Story Circle at Soapstone Market. This was a special edition of the weekly event for children. City Wildlife told us all about what they do for wild animals in need of rescue. Check out the photo of the baby squirrel in the cast! Awwwww!
10:37 a.m.: Brunch at Soapstone Market. Lots to eat and lots of neighbors stopping by our table to say hello.
11:30 a.m. Cleveland Park Library @ Van Ness.
We had to check in on the library’s resident hamster, of course.
12 p.m.: A short walk over to Van Ness Main Street’s office at 4340 Connecticut. Here, ANC 3F’s Streets & Sidewalks Committee briefed volunteers who are surveying the area’s streets and sidewalks for maintenance, traffic and other issues.
1 p.m.: Back to Soapstone Market for Van Ness Main Street’s annual meeting.
And a beverage.
2 p.m.: Last stop of the day: Bread Furst and two scoops.
Goals for next time (and there WILL be a next time): Manicure. Haircut for the companion. And dinner plans!
