“Popular wine store sells its Northwest D.C. property, but retailer is staying put” says the headline. That store: Calvert Woodley Wines & Spirits at 4339 Connecticut Avenue.
The Washington Business Journal has more details on the sale:
Ed Sands, longtime co-owner of Calvert Woodley, confirmed the deal, which closed at 5 p.m. Thursday. The goal, he said, was “to monetize the property and remain in business for the long term.”
“Nothing’s going to happen to Calvert Woodley,” Sands said of his store, which is steps from the Van Ness Metro station. “Calvert Woodley’s not going to change. Calvert Woodley’s going to remain where it is.”
