Incredible artists met incredible guests at the 2016 Forest Hills Art Walk on Sunday, May 15.
We’d like to thank the artists who gave so generously of their talent and their time:
Kiu Kavousi, an artist (see his horses, still lifes, figures and abstract pieces ) and owner of the Chevy Chase Art Gallery, opened his business to Art Walkers.
We’d like to thank the culinary artists who dropped off delectable treats for us to enjoy while we enjoyed the art:
DG Cakes, dgcakes.com
O Earth Creamery + Bakehouse, oearthcreameryandbakehouse.com
Soapstone Market (a branch of the Broad Branch Market), soapstonemarket.com
We’d like to thank the volunteers who worked so hard to organize the event and assist the artists: Max Berengaut, Lee Cannon, Christine Delong, Joff Masukawa, Naveen Rao, Dzenita Mehic Saracevic, Marjorie Share, Ken Terzian, Marelise Voss and Denise Warner.
We’d like to thank Franklin Montessori for opening Sunday to showcase the work of its two art teachers, Isabel Moffly and Audrey Sayer, as well as pieces by its students.
(And did you see the studio downstairs? With the Frieda Kahlo set? Some of us wanted to go back to preschool on the spot!)
And we’d like to thank the community for coming out last Sunday and showing their love for the arts and for their neighbors. Let’s do it again next year!
