The DC Office of Planning has been collecting input on the Van Ness commercial district from community stakeholders including the Van Ness Vision Committee and members of the community since December. It needs your input once again, this time on the strategy it’s unveiling for Van Ness at a an open house later this month. From OP’s Ward 3 neighborhood planner, Ryan Hand:
You are invited to an open house presentation for the DC Office of Planning’s Van Ness Commercial District Action Strategy. The open house will be held on Tuesday, April 28th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Forest Hills of DC Assembly Room located at 4901 Connecticut Avenue NW. Planners from the DC Office of Planning will share a community-driven and market-based vision for enhanced retail and public space in the Van Ness Commercial District that incorporates comprehensive sustainability strategies and leverages redevelopment opportunities. This plan incorporates input from the community workshop held on January 31st.
Come share your thoughts on the Action Strategy at the open house. Your comments will be used to refine the final document which will be completed later this spring.
