Shopping today or this weekend? Forest Hills Connection editor-in-chief Marlene Berlin has come up with a couple of walking and shopping tours that will help you work off the turkey and support local businesses at the same time. This is the version that published a year ago.
Also, today through Saturday, December 6th, 15 Tenleytown restaurants are offering discounts as part of the neighborhood’s annual Winterfest, billed as a “unique, yeti-themed seasonal celebration for the community.” You’ll find more details on the participating restaurants here.
The Tenley Winterfest events all week also include a walking tour, screenings of the movies Elf and Frozen, and Christmas tree sales/fundraisers for local schools and two Boy Scout troops.
And don’t miss the Winterfest winter market on Saturday, December 6th from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Janney Elementary. There you’ll find unique and handmade gifts as well as a yeti village, garden crafts, hot cocoa, music and more.
