Friends of Forest Hills Playground
The air is cool and the leaves are turning and that means it’s that be-witching time of year again – Halloween!
The Friends of Forest Hills Playground has been busy preparing for our annual Halloween Party and Parade, held as always at the playground located on Chesapeake Street.
On Sunday, October 25th, join us from 10 a.m. to noon for a fun-filled event with crafts, guessing games, treats and a delicious bake sale to benefit the playground. Magician Abracadabra Alex perform a magic show at 11, and will entertain the crowd with balloon animals beforehand. We’ll conclude the festivities with our famous costume parade around the playground at 11:45.
And new this year: The Armand’s Pizza truck will arrive at 11 a.m. and stay until 1 p.m. It will donate a percentage of sales to the playground. Guarantee a pie for your family by pre-ordering. Details here on the pizza and another new addition: An after-party! From noon to 12:30, kids are invited to show off their costumes to the residents of Forest Hills Senior Living, just a few blocks to the north.
Funds from this annual playground fundraiser help pay for upkeep and repairs not covered by the District, such as replenishing the popular sandbox.
We also appreciate your donations of time. We need your help to make this party great, whether its bringing treats for the bake sale or signing up to help sell them! Please sign up here.
