The kids had a great time at last Sunday’s Halloween bash at the Forest Hills playground, and they’ll have a great time trick-or-treating tomorrow night. But how about something for the grownups?
Neighborhood bars and restaurants are hosting their own Halloween events.
Comet Ping Pong: Orchestra of Spheres, performance art karaoke competition and found object costume contest. (5037 Connecticut Avenue, 10 p.m., $12 cover)
Acacia Bistro: Customers in costume will get free dessert with an entree order. Print and present this to the server when ordering. The staff will also be in costume, and diners get to vote on the best. (4340 Connecticut)
And on Saturday at Jake’s American Grille: The fun starts with a pumpkin carving contest from 5 to 7 p.m. After that is the adult costume bash in Jake’s Boiler Room, with $50-$75 prizes for best costumes. (5018 Connecticut, carving contest 5 to 7 p.m., constume party 9 p.m. to 3 a.m.)
