Backyard nature: A rarely-seen but frequent visitor mugs for the camera

“I heard the calls for days,” says our neighbor, David Cohen. Then one morning in late March, Cohen spotted it: A barred owl. He went back inside his home to retrieve his camera, fully expecting the owl to be gone when he returned. Instead, the owl stayed and posed for several photos. Here are a few.
