Backyard Nature: Raccoon Mom And Baby

May 8, 2014

Patricia Davies has taken many of the lovely nature photos you see on Forest Hills Connection. These are from her own backyard. Pat says this mother was having a rather rough day:

“This mommy raccoon was trying to move her baby but got completely stuck and couldn’t manage it. In the end she gave up and put it back in the nest (the hole in the tree).”

    Pat,

The photos are beautiful. We have babies in residence at the present time. The mother moved twins and then returned them. Now we have a third one and we’re concerned about leaving Emmy out in the garden. What do you do about Patrick?
