Join your neighbors on Sunday, October 16th to celebrate the on-going restoration of the green heart of Forest Hills – the Broad Branch and Linnean Stream park!
District, National Park Service, and other leaders will be present to discuss upcoming plans for the site, including Ward 3 Council member Mary Cheh, DOEE’s Steve Saari and ANC 3F members, as well as staff from DOEE’s RiverSmart program, Rock Creek Conservancy, Casey Trees, Potomac Appalachian Trail Club, and the lead designer of the site’s new planting plan. The event will take place at the intersection of Linnean Avenue and Broad Branch Road.

Pizza and beverages will be served thanks to the generous support of Comet Ping Pong and Broad Branch Market! Native plants will be available for purchase from Chesapeake Natives. And free dog waste bags and clip-on leash dispensers will be given to all pooch owners!

11:15-12:15 – Site tour: Steve Saari, DOEE, and Darlene Robbins, Lead Designer
