Friends, please join us on Thursday, April 27 from 6 to 8 p.m.:
On Thursday, April 27th at 6 p.m., Forest Hills Connection and the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law will host our neighbors Alice Rivlin and Stuart Butler, both senior fellows in economic studies and health policy at the Brookings Institution (and both Forest Hills neighbors), for a talk about the future of national health insurance.
Butler, who was formerly at the Heritage Foundation and an architect of many market-based proposals, and Rivlin, a former Federal Reserve vice-chair and the founding director of the Congressional Budget Office, bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the challenge of understanding the changing face of health care in our country. They will bring to the discussion the most up to date research on what has worked and what hasn’t with the Affordable Care Act and what future legislative action portends. Each brings different perspectives to what is sure to be a lively discussion, moderated by Julia Baller, a health researcher focusing on Medicaid at Mathematica Policy Research, with the goal of deepening our knowledge about this important national policy.
