Covering Forest Hills, Van Ness, North Cleveland Park and Wakefield
The Colonial English Handbell Ringers invite you to their 2019 holiday concert, “Let There Be Peace on Earth,” featuring holiday songs and special musical selections from across the globe. Let yourself be transported all over the world – from the Ukranian “Carol of the Bells” to a Hebrew “Hanukkah” trio, “Feliz Navidad” from Puerto Rico to the delightful German “Deutsche Volksleider.” Of course, there is the traditional sing-a-long, American classics, the rousing finale “Three Carols From Three Countries” and some other special pieces that are sure to brighten your holidays. Our show is FREE (although we do accept donations), open to the public, and great for all ages.

The Colonial English Handbell Ringers have been delighting Washington audiences since 1991. The group uses “Chart” notation, brought to the DC area by Nancy Tufts. We ring a set of nearly 80 bells from the White Chapel foundry in England and perform at concerts, festivals, weddings, fairs, and private functions – anywhere our unique and entertaining form of music is desired. Programs are traditionally 50-60 minutes in length. Beautifully costumed in Colonial, Renaissance, or traditional dress, we are a unique visual and auditory experience.
