Baltimore’s own jazz educator/trombonist Charles Funn, and the Dunbar Alumni Jazz Band perform the music of jazz composer, pianist, lyricist, and arranger, William Thomas “Billy” Strayhorn, best known for his successful three-decades collaboration with bandleader/composer Duke Ellington, as well as his many memorable compositions, including Take the ‘A’ Train, Chelsea Bridge, and Lush Life.
