Opera performance @Wesley Methodist

International Opera Sensation Alison Buchanan will be performing “Operatic Overtures for the Cherry Blossom Season: an exquisite selection of arias, spirituals, musicals, and songs for the soul” at Wesley UMC. This is a free concert open to the public.

Alison Buchanan arrives in DC, fresh from her performances at the Royal Opera House. Ms Buchananhas sung with many of the leading companies of the world; and has collaborated with such artists as Placido Domingo, Luciano Pavarotti, Sir Colin Davis and Andre Previn to name but a few. Described by the Washington Post as “a remarkably versatile singer”, the concert should be a delight to all music lovers.Joining her on piano is Virgina Lum, who has performed several times at the White House. Ms Buchanan will also be introducing her protégé, Colette Young, who has won 1st place in national and international voice competitions.
