Photo Safari For Sandy Victims
December 2, 2012 @ 2:15 pm - 4:15 pm
On Sunday, December 2nd, Washington Photo Safari is conducting a fund-raising photo safari to benefit the mid-Atlantic area victims of Hurricane Sandy.
This the fifth such safari this Forest Hills-based business has held over the years. It provides 2 hours of photographic instruction near the White House in return for clients sending a $100 check made out to the American Red Cross for disaster relief.
Washington Photo Safari did the same thing for victims of Hurricane Katrina, the tsunami in Indonesia and the earthquakes in Japan and Haiti. In each case it raised over $5,000. Last year, it did a similar benefit at the National Cathedral to raise money for earthquake repairs, and pulled in over $5,600.
Here again, the readers of FH Connection could get to know their own city through the lenses of the cameras AND help out our neighbors to the north. Details in the link below.
