Picnic in the Park concert ft. Jim & Gina

Join Friends of Forest Hills Playground + The Erich Cabe Team for our last free, all-ages summer concert at the Forest Hills Park amphitheater (3200 block of Brandywine Street, by the tennis courts). The band is Jim and Gina (more below). They will be performing some upbeat favorites from the last few decades.

Pizza sales will begin at 5pm. Armand’s Pizza will be selling pizza by the slice (cash only, please). You can also preorder whole pies and salads for pickup at the show:

The music starts at 5:30pm, and the show will wrap up by 7pm.

Jim Greenfield has been involved with music since he was a child and has played across all genres including but not limited to classical, all forms of rock, blues, jazz, country, folk, and “singer-songwriter” music. You may know him as a teacher at The Sheridan School, from a private guitar lesson or as the lead guitarist and vocalist for “Film at Eleven.” You may have also seen him at Tenleytown’s Art All Night event, where he will return this year for the third time. Gina Cocco is a bass player and vocalist in ‘Forty Dollar Fine.’ You can also catch her on stage with BandHouse Gigs and playing in various duo/trio acts around the area. She’s a self-taught bass player who holds down the groove and loves inspiring other women to pick up the typically male-dominated instrument at any age. Some of her influences and favorite bands are Paul McCartney, The Beatles, James Jamerson, U2, Steely Dan, Elton John, Bonnie Raitt, and her bass player friends who encouraged her to play.
