Stargazing in Rock Creek Park: Summer Solstice

June 16, 2012 @ 9:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Meet in Rock Creek Park at dusk and let the experts show you the stars and the planets.

The National Capital Astronomers and the National Park Service hold a program, with telescopes, open to all, including children. It is held in the field at the corner of Military Road and Glover Road, right across from St. John’s College High School, and there is a parking lot next to the field.

The June 16th program discusses the summer solstice on the 20th, and features Mars and Saturn.

These stargazing sessions continue one Saturday night per month through November.
