Stargazing in Rock Creek Park

May 19, 2012 @ 9:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Meet in Rock Creek Park at dusk and let the experts show you the stars and the planets.

The National Capital Astronomers and the National Park Service hold a program, with telescopes, open to all, including children. It is held in the field at the corner of Military Road and Glover Road, right across from St. John’s College High School, and there is a parking lot next to the field.

The May 19 program features three planets visible that evening and the Beehive Cluster in the constellation Cancer.

These stargazing sessions continue one Saturday night per month through November.
