A little act of kindness on 36th Street NW

March 26, 2021 by FHC

This appeared at 36th and Yuma Streets NW several days ago.

We’ve been meaning to write about this little display of kindness outside the International Chancery Center pocket park at 36th and Yuma. We got scooped by our Council member.

Kindness spotted in #Ward3.

Stay strong.
Stay confident.
Make the most of today. pic.twitter.com/njbKNfM8rN

Thanks, Mary Cheh, for the push we needed. And thank you to the sign makers who painted a pallet in bright colors and the words “Stay Safe,” “Be Kind,” “Smile,” and “Mask Up.” We’re invited to “Write Kind Words” on two chalkboards fastened to the other side. Here is what it looked like a few days ago.

Who are these mysterious creators? Another tweet offers a clue.

The 11 year old artists are very excited to see that you appreciated it! https://t.co/dyWOhAYXNU
