A ‘thank you’ from our new ANC 3F commissioner-elect

Congratulations to Shirley Adelstein, who won the election to represent the Van Ness North, East and South buildings on Advisory Neighborhood Commission 3F. The voter turnout for this ANC special election was extraordinary and (in our view) representative of the incredible level of engagement in our community. We at Forest Hills Connection aren’t the only ones who think so. Here’s a thank-you note from our new commissioner-elect.

I am truly honored to be the commissioner-elect for ANC 3F02! I want to thank everyone who supported me or came out to vote. I was encouraged to see such an impressive turnout for our ANC special election. This speaks to the energy and enthusiasm in our community, and I am excited to work together to make our neighborhood an even better place to live.

Moving forward, I will be a tireless advocate for the needs of our community. I am committed to promoting the values of livability, affordability, and sustainability. Above all, I value communication and collaboration. I look forward to holding regular neighborhood meetings and keeping open lines of information and communication.
