ANC 3F April 21 agenda: Preserving historic homes, books for Hearst

ANC 3FAt its April meeting, advisory neighborhood commission will discuss a historic designation for one property and will hear an argument for creating so-called conservation districts to protect others. A grant for buying books for Hearst Elementary’s new library is also on the agenda.

ANC 3F will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 21st, at Forest Hills of DC (4901 Connecticut). The meeting will be livestreamed and archived for playback at livestream.anc3f.us.

Announcements / Open Forum – Opportunity for members of the community to raise issues of concern or importance to the 3F neighborhood.

Motion to send a letter of support to the DC Department of Parks and Recreation’s permit office for the Capital Memorial Church of Seventh Day Adventists located at 3150 Chesapeake Street NW to hold a community fun day on the afternoon of June 14, 2015. (10 minutes)

Discussion regarding preservation of 3020 Albemarle St. NW (10 minutes)

Discussion regarding the grant application from Hearst PTA regarding books for the new library (15 minutes)

Discussion and possible resolution regarding the Historic Designation of Sedgwick Gardens Apartment House (including interior), 3726 Connecticut Avenue NW, HPRB Case 15-03 (20 minutes)

Miscellaneous (15 minutes)
