ANC 3F Feb. 24 agenda: More flags for Reno Road crossings, and a Rock Creek trails gap

February 18, 2026 2 Comments

ANC 3F’s meeting on Tuesday, February 24th is a return to the Zoom-only format. And the commissioners are packing a lot into the two hours allotted.

The draft agenda (below) includes a grant request from Van Ness Main Street’s initiative overseeing Forest Hills Park improvements, and the purchase of more “see me” pedestrian visibility flags on Reno Road.

ANC 3F commissioners are also scheduled to vote on three resolutions (linked below). One notes the lack of safe connections between the Soapstone Valley Trail and the Rock Creek Park trail system, and calls for the creation of one. Another asks Mayor Bowser to include DDOT’s Van Ness streetscape improvement project in her next budget. The project would include stormwater control infrastructure and aesthetic improvements, and was proposed by the Office of Planning as early as 2011.
