ANC 3F Jan. 17 agenda: New term, new team

January 16, 2023 by FHC 3 Comments

The ANC 3F commissioners for the next two years. Top row: Ryan Cudemus-Brunoli, Teri Huet, Mitchell Baer. Bottom row: Claudette David, James Tandaric, Courtney Carlson.

When the new six-seat ANC 3F meets on Tuesday at 7 p.m., we’ll be seeing four new faces on Zoom, and two familiar ones. Incumbents Claudette David and James Tandaric are returning for their second two-year term. Mitchell Baer, Courtney Carlson, Ryan Cudemus-Brunoli and Teri Huet are new to the commission.

At their first meeting of the term, they’ll set to electing officers, and then, to hearing from the community. DC Water is also providing an update on the Soapstone Valley sewer rehabilitation project. The agency has said that the relining of the 115-year-old pipes will begin by the end of the month.

Here’s the draft agenda:

This looks to be a strong, new, 6-member ANC.— combining two experienced members with four new ones. We have high hopes for their working effectively together on behalf of our community and DC’s best interests, objectively assessed.

Let’s start the new terms off on the right foot. If a DC govt agency will present slides at an ANC3F regular monthly meeting, publish a permanent link to the slides before the meeting begins.

Don’t make us wade through hours of video to find short glimpses of slides.

Do gives us time to study the slides before the meeting begins.

      Excellent suggestion by “Green Eyeshades”.

ANC Commissioners will benefit if they follow his suggestion. (Based on his past performance, he can be expected to dig deeply into pre-posted slides — as might some others — making for better understanding and ANC discussion.)
