ANC 3F June 18 agenda: CM Matt Frumin; Connecticut Avenue project; New ANC 3F commissioner

June 13, 2024

Ward 3 Council member Matt Frumin is joining ANC 3F’s June 18th meeting for two reasons: to talk DC housing, and to swear in the advisory neighborhood commission’s newest member. Frumin has made building more and affordable housing in Ward 3 one of his top policy and budget priorities since he was a candidate for the DC Council.

That new commissioner, Adrian Iglesias, joins ANC 3F for the last seven months of two-year terms. The election cycle begins anew for all DC ANCs on July 1st, the first day candidates can pick up nominating petitions to appear on the November ballot. If you’re interested in running, you’ll find the details and deadlines here.

DDOT recently subtracted two modes of travel from the Connecticut Avenue Multimodal Safety Project, removing traffic lanes that would have been dedicated bike and scooter lanes. Bob Deyling, the former 3F Streets and Sidewalks Committee chair who serves on the project’s long-dormant Community Advisory Committee, is set to give an update on the new plan.

ANC 3F’s meeting, on Tuesday, June 18th, will begin at 7 p.m. Here’s the draft agenda:
