The west entrance stairs into the Van Ness Metro station will close again on Monday, February 29th so Metro’s contractor can begin the next phase of its escalator replacement project. If KONE stays on schedule (it has so far), the entrance will reopen again in May.
WMATA is scheduled to give an update on the project’s progress at the next ANC 3F meeting on Tuesday, February 23rd. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Forest Hills of DC (4901 Connecticut Avenue).
Also on the agenda: Chick-fil-A’s drive-thru plans, Sidwell Friends’ expansion plans, and a resolution honoring Adam Tope, who has resigned as chairman and commissioner serving the single member district 3F01. If you live in SMD 3F01 and you’re thinking of running for the open seat, the public announcements portion of the meeting is the perfect opportunity to announce your intentions. (We’ll help you spread the word, too. Send a statement and photo to [email protected].
Can’t make it Tuesday? ANC 3F streams its meetings live and records them for playback at livestream.anc3f.us.
