The demolition of UDC’s tallest building ground to a halt more than a year ago, around the same time Mayor Muriel Bowser released a fiscal 2026 budget proposal that reversed plans for a new DC Archives building at the site.
The DC Council went on to reverse the reversal, but the project languished, at least in public. Work halted, and archives project manager Brad King stopped providing updates at ANC 3F’s monthly meetings.
So, the agenda (below) for the ANC’s June 30 meeting might be a sign. King’s name once again appears in the “community updates” section.
Other agenda items of note: plans to temporarily shrink Nebraska Avenue down to two lanes between Connecticut and Nevada Avenues for the District’s powerlines undergrounding project, and a resolution recognizing Murch Elementary’s principal, who is retiring after 15 eventful years.
And before you check out the draft agenda below, we encourage you to check out the ANC’s new website at anc3f.com. Meeting archives, recordings and other information are now fully up to date.
