Mary Cheh’s October newsletter contains some important updates. Some, you may have known about. Some, you might have missed. For example:

  • Senior/disabled income threshold for property tax deduction increased from $100,000 to $125,000 effective October 1st
  • Metro changes exit fare requirements on your Smart Trip card
  • Cheh and CM Bowser pass emergency legislation keeping visitor passes the same for next year (Emergency legislation has a life span of 90 days.)
  • Cheh passes emergency legislation to allow services such as Uber to keep on running
