Don’t forget the annual meeting of the Forest Hills Citizens Association/Neighborhood Alliance tonight. It’s from 7 to 9 p.m. at the home of Bill and Peggy Breer: 2738 Brandywine Street. Come prepared for a good climb up some stairs.
FHCA Vice President Jane Solomon will describe briefly some important neighborhood issues and what role the FHCA might play: Chick-fil-A’s proposed drive-through at the current Burger King location; the proposed redevelopment of the former Polish ambassador’s residence into several new houses; current limits and potential expansion of the Tree and Slope Overlay; and a look at different Historic Preservation options for Forest Hills. There will be follow-up meetings for in-depth planning and organizing.
In addition, you will get updates from Forest Hills Connection and Van Ness Main Street, and meet the Main Street’s new executive director, Theresa Cameron.
We’ll see you there!
