Bread Furst founder Mark Furstenberg is in the running for a prestigious national culinary prize: The James Beard Award.
Furstenberg is a semifinalist in the “Outstanding Baker” category.
As the Washington Post points out, the list of semifinalists will be significantly whittled down in late March ahead of the awards ceremony in Chicago on May 4th. But certainly, as they say, it’s an honor just to be nominated.
