Chevy Chase is planning for its future, and you can help by completing a survey and signing up one of the June visioning workshops

May 28, 2021 by FHC Leave a Comment

Whether you live or work in Chevy Chase DC, or have spent time at its restaurants, stores and other businesses, the DC Office of Planning would like to hear from you.

As we previously reported, OP is engaging the Chevy Chase community in developing a small area plan, or SAP. The SAP will be a detailed guide to future development and will supplement the District’s Comprehensive Plan.

OP is inviting Chevy Chase residents and visitors to take its visioning survey (which closes June 24th) and to register for one of four upcoming virtual visioning workshops: on June 5th, 8th, 9th, or 10th.

Information gathered from the survey and workshops will help to inform the plan’s vision and goals for a more inclusive and robust Chevy Chase. To learn more about the plan, take the survey, and register for a workshop, visit publicinput.com/chevychase.

In addition, Historic Chevy Chase DC is hosting a series of virtual panels on the history of planning decisions that have shaped the area as it is today. The third and final webinar of the series, at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 9th, will look at affordable housing needs in Chevy Chase and Ward 3. Register here to attend.
