A June 15th end date that appeared on the District’s coronavirus testing information site last week indicated that the Covid-19 tests performed at Engine Company 31 on Thursday, June 11th were the last.
That is no longer the case. And the District has expanded free testing at the firehouse at 4930 Connecticut Avenue from one to three days per week.
At Engine Company 31, the tests are being performed Monday through Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. People reported long lines and waits at the station last Thursday, so plan accordingly.
As before, you don’t have to show symptoms to get the test, and you don’t need an appointment.
However, you should bring a valid, government-issued photo ID showing proof of residency in the District of Columbia, or any government issued ID and a bank statement, lease or other document that shows your current address.
