Final Public Workshops Reveal DDOT 25-Year Draft Plans

October 17, 2013

Will DDOT’s draft 25-year plan have a bike lane on Connecticut Avenue? Will it have more bus routes connecting upper DC neighborhoods east and west of the park to one another? These are questions that will be answered at the live and web-based meetings DDOT’s moveDC initiative is hosting through the end of the month. See below:

DDOT to Share Draft Transportation Plan During Final Public Workshops

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will host its third and final public workshops to discuss moveDC, DDOT’s initiative to develop a strategic, multimodal long range transportation plan for the District. You are encouraged to attend a workshop to review the draft plan and help prioritize the transportation options. We appreciate your participation and encourage you to mark your calendars and remain involved. During the workshops you will have the opportunity to:

· Share your ideas and observations on future plans for transportation
· Learn how three approaches to a future DC transportation system perform
· Review the results of our survey research
· Provide input into the draft transportation plan
· Learn more about the moveDC local bus study

Mark Your Calendar to Attend
As DDOT approaches the final phase of the moveDC long range transportation plan study, we hope you will participate by completing our online survey and by joining us at one of the following workshops. The Union Station and DCUSA workshops will provide the same information as the other workshops, with information boards and available throughout the day. There will not be a formal presentation, but project team members will be present to discuss the plan and answer questions. We invite you to stop in at any point during the day and stay as long as you like.
