Forest Hills Playground’s community spring cleanup is on April 8

From some of the folks who keep an eye on Forest Hills Playground:

Our little neighborhood playground could use a good spring cleaning!

Friends of Forest Hills Playground (aka Chesapeake Park at 32nd and Chesapeake Streets NW) is hosting a community cleanup on Saturday, April 8th, from 10:30 to noon. (The rain date is Saturday, April 29th, from 10:30-noon)

Students: This work qualifies for community service hours.

Please sign up here, and please note whether you will bring trash bags, brooms and rakes (kid-sized too), treats for the volunteers and anything else that might come in handy.

Our wish list includes cleaning up the sand around the sandbox, sanding and repainting the chalkboard on the back of the bulletin board by the Chesapeake Street entrance, cleaning out the lost-and-found box, and discarding the broken toys. What would you put on the to-do list?
