DC voters will be called upon to fill several of these seats in November. Races include Ward 3 and at-large Council members, and the Council chair.
Candidates for Ward 3 Council will make appearances at two virtual forums in the coming days.
At 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 24th, DC for Democracy will host a candidates forum, moderated by UDC Law Dean Emerita Shelley Broderick. Register here for the connection information.
Then, at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29th, Ward 3 Democrats will host the candidates. The moderators are former Ward 3 Democrats chairs. Watch live on Zoom or Facebook Live.
Organizers of both forums said last week that all ten candidates had confirmed they would participate. But now, there are nine.
After much reflection, I have decided to withdraw from the Ward 3 DC Council Race. I wish to thank my supporters. All donations received will be refunded.

Monika Nemeth, an ANC 3F commissioner, announced her withdrawal from the race on Sunday. Well-wishers included a few of her fellow Ward 3 Council candidates.
Monika, I'm sorry to see you go. I really enjoyed getting to speak with you at the Palisades Farmers Market. Please keep up your advocacy and hold us accountable. Best wishes! – Eric

Congratulations to Monika for running a great race, being brave enough to take on an incumbent, and focusing on important issues like bike lanes and pedestrian safety. https://t.co/jiFbwZuWn9
