Supporting local businesses and makers doesn’t get much easier than this. Van Ness Main Street is bringing more than 15 Made-in-DC vendors to us – for its third annual Van Ness Holiday Pop-Up Shop.
They’ll be setting up shop at 4340 Connecticut Avenue on the three weekends after Thanksgiving: November 24th and 25th, December 1st and 2nd, and December 8th and 9th. The pop-up’s hours are 12 to 5 p.m. with the exception of the Small Business Saturday kickoff on November 24th. That begins at 11 a.m.
In addition, Ibhana Boutique’s pop-up shop at 4340 Connecticut will be open both Saturday and Sunday on the weekend of December 15th. And, Olde City Farm will be selling Christmas trees, wreaths and other holiday decor during all four weekends.
The vendors list (see below) includes some now-familiar favorites and new-to-us names and crafts.

And check out the activities: Carolers, gingerbread making with Bread Furst, snacks and drinks from Acacia Bistro (for kids, too), a cooking demonstration, a wine tasting with Calvert Woodley, sidewalk Christmas checkers, and Santa will be there for photo ops with kids and pets.
Van Ness Main Street has been posting photos of the vendors’ wares on its Facebook Event page, as well updates on the pop-up’s events as they are added. (Those without a Facebook account will find much of the same information on Van Ness Main Street’s Twitter feed – you don’t have to log in to look.) That’s where you’ll find the most up-to-date information on who you’ll find at the pop-up shop, and when.
