It’s a puppy party at Van Ness Main Street’s Sept. 15 “Barks and Brews”

August 16, 2019 by FHC Leave a Comment

Van Ness Main Street and local businesses are throwing another party for pups and the people who love them. Details here from interim executive director Cherie Lester:

Attention lovers of dogs, beer and fun: The 3rd Annual Barks and Brews Festival is less than one month away! This year’s fest will be held on Sunday evening, September 15th from 6 to 9 p.m. in the parking lot of our main sponsor, Calvert Woodley Fine Wines and Spirits.

We’re happy to announce this year’s craft beer sponsor is Virginia’s very own Devils Backbone Brewing Company, and everyone’s favorite local band, After the Flood, will join us once again. Delicious food by Fat Pete’s BBQ food truck and desserts by Van Ness business Sweet Evelyn will be available for purchase.

We’ll have treats for your pup courtesy of Bread Furst, and raffle prizes. Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door and may be purchased online at barksandbrewsdc.eventbrite.com or in the VNMS office (email cherie@vannessmainstreet.org for hours). A rain date is planned for the following Sunday, September 22nd.

If you’d like to be an entry-level sponsor or event volunteer, please email cherie@vannessmainstreet.org. Thank you also to our sponsors City Paws Animal Hospital, Life of Riley and Patriotic Pet Care for helping to make the event possible.

Forest Hills Connection is produced by volunteers, and supported by you. We appreciate your support – financial and otherwise. Here’s how to donate.
