This is the last article in our “Meet the Candidates” series on the people running for ANC 3F, under new boundaries that take effect a couple of months after Election Day.
Returning to run for a second two-year term is Claudette David, one of only two ANC 3F incumbents running for re-election. (James Tandaric, in 3F05, is the other incumbent.) She is running unopposed in 3F04, which, like 3F01, is almost entirely residential. The sole exception is Murch Elementary. Most of 3F04’s residents live in high-rise apartments and condos.
Here is Claudette David’s statement:
When I became chair of ANC 3F at the beginning of 2022, I could not have imagined all of the activities that followed within several months that required team work, quick action, and quick responses to the community. ANC 3F Commissioners and I were intentional about inviting DC agency leaders who directly influence any improvements in the community; and diligent about monthly updates from the DC Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) to keep the community abreast of all police activity in ANC 3F.
I am proud of how far ANC 3F has come and I look forward to continuing to do the work.
