Neighborhood in the news: Pop-up putdown; Intelsat’s new digs

The suspicious package that stopped the Thursday morning commute through Van Ness in its tracks garnered many media mentions. So if you want to relive the experience, you can read about it here, here and here.

But there’s more to the area than messy commutes.

That six-story pop-up going in at 4113 Connecticut Ave. is the subject of a lawsuit. And not because of its height. Next-door neighbors say the work is damaging their rowhouses.
