Next public meeting on the Hearst Park pool is May 7

Want to know the latest about plans to renovate Hearst Park and build an outdoor pool there? Or ask questions about the project? DC Parks and Recreation is holding a community meeting at Hearst Elementary next Tuesday, May 7th, at 6:30 p.m.

DPR was at the March ANC 3F meeting to present an update on the plans and the timeline.

As we reported then, the stormwater remediation is to begin this summer, along with the restoration of the soccer fields and a playground renovation. Construction is to begin this fall on Ward 3’s first public outdoor swimming pool. The DPR presentation on Hearst Park included renderings of all of these plans. Here’s part one and part two.
