Elias Chemali gave Van Ness Main Street a heads up that this would be the opening week, but kept the exact date quiet. This allowed some delighted neighbors to make the discovery.
Today’s the day! Shemali’s is now open on Connecticut Avenue in #VanNess (they’re at the corner of Connecticut and Albemarle).

So excited when we walked by this morning and saw they were open. We look forward to what looks like a great addition to the neighborhood.
