WAMU and American University are hosting a spring cleanup of the Windom Place parklet just east of 4401 Connecticut Avenue on Tuesday, April 14th, from 8 to 11:30 a.m.
The cleanup is part of AU’s annual Campus Beautification Day. WAMU staff and radio hosts are inviting the community to pitch in. The volunteers will be adding plantings, mulching, picking up trash and debris and repainting the benches.
Shovels, gloves, tools and trash bags will be provided. Please wear comfortable and sturdy shoes, and bring water.
