American University is marking Earth Day with “Beautification Day” on Tuesday, April 22nd. And as part of that, AU will have a team at WAMU (4401 Conn Ave) from 9 to 11 a.m. to spruce up the mini park. The community is invited to help.
Says Andrew Huff, AU’s Director of Community Relations: “AU will be doing a general clean-up, mulching, and planting at the 4401 mini-park. Work will also be done all over our main campus and the law school on Massachusetts Avenue. Sign up to volunteer at www.american.edu/finance/fas/Campus-Beautification-Day.”
T-shirts will be given to registered volunteers, and the cleanup crews are invited to the AU campus for a barbecue at noon.
