One final Nov. 6 election result; ANC 3F meets tonight and hosts DDOT Nov. 26 for Conn. Ave. traffic study meeting

November 20, 2018 by FHC 2 Comments

Last week we showed you the uncertified November 6th election results from the DC Board of Elections.

The final, certified results are in. There were no changes. Muriel Bowser remains mayor. Mary Cheh, Elissa Silverman and Anita Bonds will keep their Council seats. The only question, at least in our corner of DC, was who had won the write-in campaign for single member district ANC 3F04.

ANC 3F04 includes apartment buildings and businesses on the east side of Connecticut Avenue, Forest Hills Park and some single-family homes.

And we have a winner: Congratulations, Leah Frelinghuysen!

ANC 3F meets at 7:30 p.m. tonight; hosts DDOT for a Nov. 26 community meeting

Find the agenda for tonight’s meeting at ANC3F.com. And at 7 p.m. next Monday, November 26th, ANC 3F will host a community meeting with DDOT about plans for a Connecticut Avenue traffic study. The meeting will be held at 4340 Connecticut Avenue. RSVP here.

Can’t make it on the 26th? DDOT Transportation Planner Robyn Jackson (robyn.jackson@dc.gov, 202-671-5110) gave a presentation about the scope of the study (reversible lanes, impacts of removing the lanes on neighborhood streets) at ANC 3C’s meeting last night at the Cleveland Park library. This video picks up the presentation while in progress:

The single member district ANC 3F04 is on the East side of Connecticut, not the West side as stated in the caption under your map.
