Party with your pooches at Van Ness Main Street’s 9/17 “Barks and Brews” fest

August 28, 2017

by Theresa Cameron
Executive Director, Van Ness Main Street

Join Van Ness Main Street for its first “Barks and Brews” festival on Sunday, September 17. This is a dog-friendly party at the Calvert Woodley parking lot (4339 Connecticut) from 5 to 8 p.m.

No dog? No problem! Come anyway and enjoy sampling beers provided by Capital Eagle, Inc. Try the cuisine provided by local food trucks, and dance to live music by After the Flood. Our canine friends will munch on treats from Bread Furst. There will be giveaways for your pup, and a souvenir pint glass for the first 100 human attendees. Meet sponsor City Paws, your neighborhood vet, and learn about their services.

All proceeds will benefit Van Ness Main Street and People. Animals. Love. (PAL).

Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. There’s no cost for dogs to attend, but please make sure they are well-behaved, and on a non-retractable leash. Humans must be 21 years of age to attend. The event will take place rain or shine.
