Pets’ pics with Santa and more Made in DC vendors at Dec. 1-3 Van Ness Pop-Up

Van Ness Main Street’s Made in DC Pop-Up Shop is back for three more weekends, beginning with this evening’s UDC Law “Happy Hour” and with a special appearance tomorrow by “Pet Santa” and a photographer to capture the moment.

The vendors and the entertainment will be at 4340 Connecticut Avenue. Here’s the schedule:

Friday, December 1, 3 to 8 p.m.

UDC Law School Happy Hour (drinks with a donation) and live music by guitarist Cristian Perez at 4 p.m.

Here’s an updated schedule of the upcoming markets:

Friday, December 8, 3 to 8 p.m. (Happy hour begins at 4 p.m., with music by the Jack Kilby Trio)
Saturday, December 9, noon to 5 p.m.
December 10, noon to 5 p.m. (Santa Claus visits from 2 to 4 p.m.)

Friday, December 15, 3 to 8 p.m. (Happy hour begins at 4 p.m.)
Saturday, December 16, noon to 5 p.m. (The Singing Capital Chorus performs 2 to 4 p.m.)
Sunday, December 17, noon to 5 p.m. (Closing ceremony)

Each marketplace features a rotating assortment of local makers selling art, jewelry and accessories such as scarves and bags, fiber art and handmade clothes, home decor and packaged food.

The handmade marketplace, hosted in a University of the District of Columbia-owned space, is a collaboration with Van Ness Main Street and UDC.
