Photos: Keeping our eyes on the skies

December 10, 2021 by FHC 2 Comments

As you may already know, we are on Twitter. The @ForestHillsNews Twitter feed is embedded in the ForestHillsConnection.com sidebar (and on mobile, near the bottom of each page. Sorry to make you do all that scrolling.). And we hope it’s helpful in putting out information that is useful and interesting, and in a more timely fashion than our “when we get to it” schedule of publishing articles.

In the evenings, #SunsetTwitter comes out to play, and it’s wonderful. That’s because, in part, we have talented photographers in our neighborhood who have captured some magnificent sunsets (and sunrises) and we are going to share a few of them with you.

Last night’s sunset was something to behold.

You early risers know that DC sunrises are also lovely. @Conthescene has captured several over Rock Creek Park and Howard University Law.

Here’s a sunrise timelapse from the same vantage point.

And whoever manages the @UDC_Library Twitter account has a wonderful eye. Just look at that sky.
