The Giant building at 4301 Connecticut Avenue will turn into a polling place the evening of Thursday, August 6th. Voting for the open ANC 3F02 seat will take place in the lobby from 7:05 to 8:30 p.m. Enter at Veazey Terrace.

The District’s government agencies and public utilities give input from Advisory Neighborhood Commissions great weight when considering policies. The ANCs also serve, in a way, to amplify the voices of individual constituents so the DC government is sure to hear our needs and concerns.
ANC 3F is made up of seven districts. 3F02 includes the Van Ness East condos, Van Ness North co-op, the apartments at 3003 Van Ness Street, businesses such as Giant and CVS, the Levine School of Music, and the Howard University School of Law.
To participate in Thursday’s election, voters must be registered to vote in the District and live within the boundaries below.

I found it interesting that when I initially questioned Mr. Tope about the narrow window of time when the ANC3F set for the Special ANC3FO2 election, Adam told me, well Dave most special elections for ANC are 25_minutes and we decided to make it 55 minutes.. Much to my chagrin.
I mentioned my disappointment wit my opponent and attempted to deliver that message to our prospective constituents. However after my opponent reached out late Thursday night after our meetting with the VanNess East community,Mr. Top decided to extend the Special Election time to 8:30. My opponent knew it, however Mr. Tope never, reached out to me to inform me of the decision or the converse until a third source informed me of thief and how he attributed this decision to my opponent….not so fast it was primarily because of strong letter(s) sent to him from some of the associations in the 3 Van Ness properties. So today I get a phone call from Josh, from CM At-Large Bonds ofiice and be told me he looked into it and said as shady as it was,me not being informed it was legal. He also pointed out that legally on the record the Special Election is still scheduled for 7:05-7:55 because any time change has to be voted on. So, I guess now as a result of smoke and mirrors politics, the ANC3F will hold there meeting on the same evening as Special Election to move a motion to lengthen the time to 7:30.
It is amazing what Mr.Tope did on his second time around and reconsidering my original concern and the will of the ANC3FO2 community. Thank You Mr.Tope, I hope you get quorum. I am looking to serve the will of the People of ANC3FO2 soon.
