Save the date for a Sfoglina and Soapstone Market SneakPeek@VN

by Mary Beth Ray
Van Ness Main Street Board President

Please join us Saturday, November 5th, from 7 to 9 p.m. for what promises to be a fabulous evening celebrating what’s new and hot at Van Ness!

Be the first to taste delicious handmade pasta from famed Chef Fabio Trabocchi’s Sfoglina, sample delicacies from Soapstone Market, and enjoy unique cocktails prepared by DC Mixologist David Strauss. Calvert Woodley will donate wine and Sheldon Ray will donate beer. The venue? The beautiful new Park Van Ness overlooking Soapstone Valley.

Cost is $50/person. All net proceeds benefit Van Ness Main Street, a nonprofit formed in January which works to make our neighborhood more beautiful and economically vibrant.

We know how much President O. and Michelle love Fiola Mare, another Trabocchi restaurant. Will they be there on Nov. 5th? The jury’s out, but we all need a break from the election blues, and this promises to be a fun and festive occasion. To get your invitation, please email mbray4526@gmail.com. If you are interested in helping with the event, we welcome volunteers! Hope to see you there!

Forest Hills Connection is produced by volunteers, and supported by you. We appreciate your support – financial and otherwise. Here’s how to donate.

While the sidewalk in front of Park Van Ness is bright and safe, the sidewalk across the alley at Park Connecticut, 4411 Connecticut, remains completely unlit. As winter arrives, this will get worse. Please tell @equityresidential to put lights outside.
