Shop local businesses and makers (and track the elusive Tenley Yeti) during Tenleytown and Van Ness Main Street holiday events

November 23, 2021

Are you ready for the Yeti?

Tenley WinterFest begins on Friday, November 26th, and that means the return of the Yeti Scavenger Hunt, historical walking tours, cocoa and caroling, local business specials, and more.

Winter Feast is Tenleytown’s own version of Restaurant Week.

The nine-day Tenleytown Main Street event will wrap up on Saturday, December 4th with the Winter Pop-Up Market at 4748 Wisconsin Avenue. Local artists and makers will be selling their wares from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (There’s also a Winter Market preview event from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 3rd.)

Don’t miss PNL Design’s handcrafted, DC-themed tees, totes, clutches, mugs & jewelry at the Tenleytown Main Street WINTER POP-UP MARKET, Sat, Dec. 4 from 10am – 5pm.🎁 See the full line-up of creative makers: https://t.co/aOYidGzuJo@SmallBizDC #ibuydc @thisisMadeinDC #madeindc pic.twitter.com/ojdV3yGpKw

Then, on Saturday, December 11th, the Van Ness Main Street Holiday Pop-Up Market returns. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the local vendors will be popping up at two locations: outside the VNMS office at 4340 Connecticut Avenue and at the Rosemary Bistro Cafe/I’m Eddie Cano streatery at 5010 Connecticut.

In addition, Politics and Prose will have a pop-up book sale. And down at 4340 Connecticut, the Singing Capital Chorus will perform holiday standards from 3 to 4 p.m.

Follow the event on Eventbrite, Facebook, or check the Van Ness Main Street website for updates on the vendors and activities – and the rain date for the outdoor market: Sunday, December 12th.
