Tea tasting Saturday; bulb planting Sunday and more Van Ness Main Street happenings

November 7, 2019 by FHC Leave a Comment

Have you popped into the pop-up shop at 4340 Connecticut Avenue yet? The accessories that make Nicole Crowder’s temporary showroom look like a home (an extremely cool and comfy home) include china from Vintage Glam Tea Party.

If you have shopped the pop-up, you’ve seen the vintage glam. This Saturday, November 9th, you’ll find the tea party. Nicole Crowder Furniture and Design, Vintage Glam and Van Ness Main Street are hosting an afternoon tea tasting from noon to 3 p.m. It’s free to try some tea and some petite sweets.

The Nicole Crowder pop-up is open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday through November 23rd.

From 1 to 3 p.m. this Sunday, November 10th, we get a chance to contribute to ongoing efforts to beautify Van Ness, one tree box at a time. Volunteers will join Van Ness Main Street and master gardener Kathy Sykes planting spring bulbs along Connecticut Avenue between Van Ness and Albemarle Streets.

All ages are welcome. Find more details here.

The Van Ness Main Street holiday pop-up is returning for its fourth year at 4340 Connecticut. It will open with a “sip and shop” preview party on Friday, December 13th from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Shopping and holiday activities will resume Saturday, December 14th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, December 15th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Details to come. To stay up to date on Van Ness Main Street happenings, email cherie@vannessmainstreet.org to get on the mailing list.
